Morinaga Nutritional Foods, Inc. (MNF) is a manufacturer of soy products based in Torrance, California, USA. We produce the popular Mori-Nu® Silken Tofu brand, a line of silken tofu widely sold across the US and around the world, as well as the industrial and food service ingredient Mori-Nu Silken Soy Purée. Our soy products are sold in a unique aseptic package that protects fresh tofu from light, air, and bacteria and allows for a long shelf-life without refrigeration—and without the use of preservatives!
Mori-Nu’s Soybeans: Quality from Seed to Tofu
Mori-Nu is proud to introduce our soybean supplier, Bluegrass Farms of Ohio, Inc. They boast being able to fully control everything from breeding unique, Non-GMO seeds to shipping out the final product. This means that our soybeans have a watchful eye on them from before planting, all the way until they get to you.
The best soybeans from each generation are chosen to replant for the next year’s crop which ensures that our product will, little by little, continuously improve. This seed development program, one of the most eminent Non-GMO soybean development programs in North America, is one way that we can guarantee that our products are of the highest quality.
Bluegrass Farms’ in-house developed soybeans are grown by contracted farmers, which keeps our competitors from being able to use the exact strains used for our tofu. This Identity Preservation process, checked by OSIA (Ohio Seed Improvement Association), shows our consumers that they truly are getting the best.
Once harvested, our soybeans go through rigorous quality testing, and only those that pass are accepted and shipped out to our customers. Your quality is assured because Bluegrass Farms has a hand in every second of our soybeans’ life.
After that, it’s on to our manufacturing facility, where our beans are carefully crafted into the high-quality silken tofu that many have come to know and rely on. That way our customers can create great recipes, with a great ingredient.
